It’s church… but not as you know it!
We are trying to do things differently at St. Peter’s by occasionally having Café Church. Please come along and get involved. Why not bring a friend? Café Church is always suitable for families.
We held our first new style Café Church service in the Village Hall in June 2018. The morning started with coffee, tea or juice and an abundance of pastries and cakes, all served at the tables (and free!) There was a reasonable turn out for the worship with an opportunity for all to be involved. The theme was ‘God Loves All Sorts’ so on each table was a selection of sweets! We asked for good news for us all to celebrate while we were having our refreshments. The Vicar accompanied the lively songs on his guitar and there were percussion instruments for us to use and an opportunity for the children to dance if they wished. We had a craft activity, a Bible reading, prayers, a video clip and a talk.
Comments, good or bad were requested – one comment we received was ‘a coffee morning with religion thrown in’ and that is precisely what Café Church is.
The next Café Church will be on Sunday 21st October at 11am in the Village Hall when the theme will be Mission Impossible.
