    The photograph, I believe was taken in 1912.
    One of the children in the dag cart was one of the Rutter children who lived opposite the Post Office in the now demolished Manor Farm. Apparently, her father built the dog cart and the girl used to ride in it to school. This information was provided to me by Mrs Ruth Stretch, formerly of Pear Tree Cottage, who lived all of her married life in this house and worked at Oulton Hall and witnessed the great fire that destroyed it.
    The gentleman in the saddle of the motorcycle combination was the head master of Little Budworth School. The motorcycle is pre-first world war.
